Note: Includes shorter M2 screws for use with sway bars - the OEM gearboxes are plastic and able to deform when the OEM length screws are fully tightened, but aluminum housings would require thru holes. We didn't want to have open holes for dirt/debris to enter for those who don't utilize sway bars, so these shorter screws are necessary if using sway bars.
They do weigh more than the plastic assemblies (obviously, aluminum is heavier than nylon) but the benefits outweigh (no pun intended) any cons. In fact, extra weight down low is not the enemy and can be quite beneficial to these little lightweight monsters. OEM nylon housings are 12 grams, whereas our aluminum ones are 33 grams.
