Who We Are
While racing my EMB-1 at the local track, I quickly realized a lack of support for 1/14 scale off-road platforms, and that people weren't aware of how fun they are to race. I decided to change that.
Established in 2024, Scale Speed® is a family run company specializing in small scale RC racing — carrying vehicles, spare parts, and even manufacturing our own products.
I've done my best to build a website that's easy to navigate, focused on accurate and detailed specifications of kits and parts compatibility, as well as an ever-expanding Knowledge Hub of tips, tricks, and guides for these small scale platforms.
Practically every Saturday, you can find us in the pits at Hobby Action in Arizona promoting the 1/14 Mini class during regular weekly club racing.
In December 2024, we began offering free rental vehicles to anyone who was interested in trying out the small scale fun. Over time, it's become one of the most exciting classes at the track.
With high speed relative to their size, they're crowd pleasers — able to clear every jump that the modified 1/10 buggies can, and some can even perform backflips while doing so!
We're grateful for Larry and the team at Hobby Action for carrying some of our products in their store and allowing us to show off our minis in the pits.
What We Do
Scale Speed was formed around two missions: to increase the popularity of 1/14 scale off-road racing, and to create the RC parts we wish existed (and those that we believe can be made better), no matter the scale.
Our core principles:

- Provide as much support as we can for the hobby
- Only sell brands we believe in
We aim to showcase the capabilities of 1/14 off-road racing by sponsoring classes at prominent race events, continuing to participate in regular local club racing, and offering free rental options to introduce drivers to the small scale fun!

We understand that trying a new company can feel like a leap of faith, but rest assured, you're in good hands. We've been an official LC Racing dealer since our inception, and we're an authorized retailer of Hobbywing, JConcepts, and other quality manufacturers.
A third-party review system, Judge.me, has been implemented for transparent, unbiased reviews. All submitted reviews must be published for us to maintain our high transparency and authenticity badges. We can't hide bad reviews, nor do we want to.
We can't guarantee we won't make mistakes, but we can guarantee that we'll make things right.
