Our Story
In 2024, I brought a small scale ready-to-run buggy to the local indoor clay track here in Arizona to see if it could hang with the 1/10 scales in a "run what you brung" class.
After installing every upgrade on the market, I quickly realized a lack of support for 1/14 scale off-road platforms, and that people weren't aware of how fun they are to race. I decided to change that.
I've done my best to build a website that's easy to navigate, focused on accurate and detailed specifications of kits and parts compatibility, as well as an ever-expanding Knowledge Hub of tips, tricks, and guides for these small scale platforms.
Scale Speed™ was formed around two missions: to increase the popularity of 1/14 scale off-road racing, and to create the RC parts we wish existed (and those that we believe can be made better), no matter the scale.

We aim to showcase the capabilities of 1/14 off-road racing by sponsoring classes at prominent race events, continuing to participate in regular local club racing, and offering free rental options to introduce drivers to the small scale fun!
