The Minis go... Micro? (Coming Soon: Servo Mounts)

No longer are we restricted by a proprietary hole pattern.

It's time to open up the options.

The LC Racing BHC and EMB series vehicles have a uniquely Batan mounting hole pattern. While the D132F and D135F are reasonably solid servos, they aren't the strongest, nor the fastest.

We aimed to increase aftermarket support by creating servo mounts that allow for the use of any common micro servo (7 x 28 4-hole patterns, and center hole designs).

Micro servos have been extensively developed and used across the RC world, meaning there are a plethora of choices - some, better than others. We are working on a Knowledge Hub article that will detail various common options, including torque/speed specifications, servo horn fitment, and our experiences with them.

BHC Mount Set

For the 2WD platforms, since they are smaller and lighter (and most mounts are plastic by default), we opted for multi jet fusion nylon 12 composite construction with vapor smoothing, which will be plenty adequate to provide the necessary strength to securely hold your servo in place.

EMB Mount Set

The 4WD platforms tend to be larger, heavier, and impart more force on the steering system, so we machined them from 7075-T6 aluminum and anodized them with a matte dark gray finish.

We'll update this blog when our mounts are ready for release in the next few weeks. :)
