Shearing differential case screws has become an all too common occurrence in our rental fleet. The combination of high torque motors and sharp jolts in power delivery from harsh landings is simply too much for the little stock M1.4 screws to handle.
Our class 12.9 steel M1.6 flat head cap screws with hex key drive are a significant upgrade over the mystery metal Phillips head OEM hardware. With a larger diameter, and made from hardened alloy steel that's been quenched and tempered, they are the the highest strength spec metric fastener that exists.
These screws require a 1.3 mm hex driver, offering a more secure fastening experience compared to the OEM Phillips screws.
Important: You must use an M1.6 thread tap on the diff case holes before attempting to thread in M1.6 screws. We offer taps and tap handles for your convenience.
Includes 8 screws to fit the entire vehicle's worth of differential assemblies (4 front, 4 rear).
