What's the difference between Ready-to-Run, Kit, and Pro Kit?

The following information is specific to the 1/14 lineup:

RTRs include everything you need to run except a charger.

Kits do not include any electronics except for the servo (you must supply the motor, ESC, transmitter, receiver, battery, and charger). They may include some additional parts beyond the ready-to-run version, such as multiple pinion options, titanium nitride shock shafts, etc.

Pro Kits include a motor and ESC (you must supply the transmitter, receiver, battery, and charger). They also include carbon upper decks, rear CVAs, multiple shock spring options, and aluminum wheel hexes.

I think it should be included or mandatory that the hex transmission screws are provided, I’d also like to have the option of purchasing the dust cover like maybe a little list of recommended items like the correct size the servo amount, etc. otherwise I’m more than satisfied with the vehicle. I absolutely love it. Chris was very helpful, I appreciate you!

Planning on a recommended upgrades article soon! We will recommend to LC Racing to change their mold for larger holes and include Class 12.9 screws by default based on our experience. We don't want to sell the upgraded parts, we'd rather it be built into the way they come standard so all are reliably equipped from the start.

I have had and built everything made back in the 80s-2000's, Tyco, many Tamiyas, the Superchamp, all the Kyosho, Losi, Associated cars, and then dabbled a little in between. I have built several cars recently after getting back into the hobby from a RC10 24, a rock crawler, and a Element Apex2. I have also bought several RTR's cars and done some work on them. I have even went as far as building a track in my backyard. After realizing my backyard track was probably going to be a stretch for 1/10 scale I started looking around and buying some RTR's cars in the 1/14 to 1/16th scale. The LCR Truggy is by far the highest performer and most well built of the bunch. This thing handles like it is on rails, and is a rocket with the pro upgrade. Zero issues and I am not easy on it. My only recommendation if you buy one is to get the bumper set for the short course truck. The truggy is really well built but the bumper is magnificent for deflecting bigger hits.

I had a 1:16 scale truck like my friend, but then my friend upgraded his to the LC Racing 1/14 Truggy. He had done a bunch of research about what to get and came up with the LC Racing Truggy. To keep up with him I bought the same one. It is so awesome. Now we have some really good racing. The truggy is very easy to control and plenty fast. So far our Truggies are holding up well despite a lot of crashes. I also really like that you can get all the spare parts and upgrade parts at a low cost. I bought my spare parts at Scale Speed. They have excellent customer service, everything in stock and fast shipping. When I had questions about some spare parts, they responded very quick. It is nice to have a dealer that can support you with all your needs for this super fun hobby. I am very happy with my Truggy and the support for it.
